The Fit Kids Foundation is a 501(c)3 non profit organization based in Redwood City, CA (just south of San Francisco). Our mission is to promote a healthy active lifestyle among children in underserved communities through high-quality youth fitness programs and nutrition tips. By offering increased opportunities for physical activity among children, we hope to inspire an early love of sports and fitness that will serve as the foundation for a healthy way of life. Furthermore, through our science based curriculum and dedicated coaches, Fit Kids provides the framework to help children build positive relationships, self-confidence, independence and the expertise to deal with adversity. We have incredible momentum at Fit Kids and are looking for an energectic, motivated, passionate individual to help us with grant writing. This is a part-time job and will be approx ten hours per week. Responsiblities will include: Identify and research foundations to approach during the year Write and submit LOIs, proposals, grants Follow up to all LOIs and proposals by phone and/or email Requirements should include: Min one year prior successful grant-writing background in a similar non-profit setting Demonstrated expertise to produce successful fundraising outcomes and meet fast-paced timelines Self-directed, able to juggle multiple tasks and roles at a small yet dynamic and growing non-profit organization Excellent and demonstrated oral and written communications skills Poise, maturity, flexibility, initiative and expertise to work as a team member are essential Passionate about health and fitness  ....
