Xceed Staffing seeks a Purchasing Manager for an established Software client located on the Peninsula. The Purchasing Manager will increase company profitability and customer satisfaction by managing the indirect procurement of software, services, equipment and hardware in a timely manner and at the lowest cost. The purchasing manager will coordinate vendor activity and negotiations, and analyze trends in vendor pricing and sales activity to determine the correct timing of purchases. RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee all purchasing activity Coordinate vendor activity, negotiations, maintain service agreements, purchasing files Analyze trends in vendor pricing, track purchasing activity, measurements Verify & review purchase orders and accuracy of computerized purchasing records for compliance with corporate policy Evaluate existing suppliers, corporate purchasing policy, recommend changes, develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and customers. Prepare purchase requisitions, approve and issues purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions. Assist department in developing and implementing purchasing strategies for products. Liaise with Accounts Payable Department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices, as necessary for the business with the supplier. Meets with vendors to negotiate improved pricing, product quality, and delivery Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids to suppliers through RFQ process. Conducts meetings, prepares and presents reports, and provides details to identify purchasing qualifications, establish business plans and performance objectives, and report performance against plan and business objectives. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or equivalent plus 5-7 yrs of related Indirect Procurement background Experience working for a Software company Must possess strong negotiation skills Demonstrated success managing inventory, including auditing, budgets, forecasting and planning Proficiency in computerized purchasing/business systems; be literate and functional with Microsoft office suite, Microsoft word and Microsoft excel, PowerPoint Great communication abilities both verbal and written Interested applicants please email your resume to XXXX@xceedstaffing.com  ....
