Professional Program Insurance Brokerage (PPIB) Commercial Lines Underwriter We are currently looking for a full-time Underwriter, to join our Novato, CA office. This position will include underwriting new and renewal business from both a retail and wholesale side. Duties will include accepting, declining or modifying business with little to no supervision. Candidate must have good knowledge of commercial lines coverages including professional liability, general liability and property coverage. Candidate will be responsible for producing a min of $100,000 new business premium per month. Must be able to sell to brokers and a diverse client base. Some travel required. Position qualifications: Candidate must have a High-school diploma, College diploma preferred. The ideal applicant will have three to five years of commercial underwriting background. Must be proficient with Microsoft office products. Those with AMS background a plus (but not required) Applicants must be able to communicate both written and verbally. Must be detail oriented and posses critical thinking capabilities. Must have an active CA P&C License. Salary DOE. Benefits include 401k plan, health insurance and 125 plan option.
